Fall Session of Classes 2026
Welcome to Classes at The Biz Academy!
We’re excited to offer a wide variety of acting, musical theatre, and dance classes. Whether your student is brand new to the stage or ready to build on existing skills, our classes focus on confidence, creativity, and growth in a supportive, fun environment. Below you’ll find important information about registration, scheduling, and session details, followed by our full list of class offerings. Be sure to read carefully, note important dates, and sign up early—classes require a minimum enrollment to run, and spots fill quickly!
How it works
- All class fees are required at time of sign-up.
- All fees include a $50 non-refundable deposit.
- If the class doesn’t happen due to lack of participants you will be refunded in full.
- The deadline for sign up is 3 days prior to the first class. Don’t wait!
- Each class needs 4 or more participants to run.
- If you missed signups email us, maybe we can work you in. (thebizacademy@gmail.com)
New Students:
- A $25 registration fee is only required for your first three years of classes (workshops and camps excluded).
- Any new students will need to complete some onboarding paperwork, it will be emailed after paying class fees.
- If you forget to add the fee to checkout we will send you an invoice.
Important Dates:
- Classes begin August 8th. See sign ups for details
- All classes will be on fall break from October 10-21
- All classes run through Nov. 11th
- Showcase is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 14th @ 10 AM at Avon Middle School North
Mondays
Stage School Junior – ages 7- 9: 5:30 – 6:30 (Meets in the Salmon Studio and the dance studio at The Biz) This is a great class for those with little to no theatrical experience or a follow-up for Little Performers. The class will learn the vocals of a medley for 25 min. and then spend the remaining time learning choreography and acting. All the hard work culminates in a performance at our end-of-session showcase! (This class DOES require at-home practicing.)
Cost: $240; Taught by Jeff Van Paris and Allison Fojo. Classes begin on Monday, August 10th and will run through November 9th. Class will NOT meet on October 12th and 19th due to fall break. Please mark your calendars!
Stage School Senior – ages 10 and up: 6:00 -7:30 (Meets in the Salmon Studio and the dance studio at The Biz.) This is a great class for those with little to no theatrical experience, as well as a class for those with experience to have some fun without the pressure of a full musical. The kids learn the vocals of a medley for 40 min. and then spend the remaining time learning choreography and acting. All the hard work culminates in a performance at our end of session showcase! (This class DOES require at-home practicing.)
Cost: $360 (an hour and a half class); Taught by Jeff Van Paris and Allison Fojo. Classes begin on Monday, August 10th and will run through November 9th. Class will NOT meet on October 12th and 19th due to fall break. Please mark your calendars!
Audition Prep Class – ages 8 and up: 7:30-8:30 (Meets in the Salmon Studio at The Biz.) This is a class that will teach you all you need to know about auditions! You’ll learn about expectations, how to present yourself, how to best do a cold script read, feel confident at dance auditions, (or at least LOOK confident!), and how to sell your song. You will finish the class with an audition notebook, an age appropriate audition-ready song with sheet music, and a digital headshot. Classes begin on Monday, August 10th and will run through November 9th. Class will NOT meet on October 12th and 19th due to fall break. Please mark your calendars! Wednesdays
Preschool Introduction to Theatre – ages 3-4: 5:00-5:30 (Meets in the Dance Studio at The Biz.) During this 30 min. class, Isabella will work with the kids on very basic singing, acting, and dancing skills. Come and “play” theater! Classes begin on Wednesday, August 12th and will run through May 11th. Class will NOT meet October 14th and 21st due to fall break. Please mark your calendars! Cost is $120; Taught by Isabella Gosnell
Little Performers – ages 5-6: 5:30-6:30 (Meets in the Dance Studio at The Biz.) In this class, students will learn basic singing, dancing, and acting skills, as well as learn how to tell stories with movement and voice. This is a great beginning class, as well as a follow-up class to Preschool. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 12th and will run through November 11th. Class will NOT meet October 14th and 21st due to fall break. Cost is $240; Taught by Isabella Gosnell
Boy’s Dance – ages 10 and up: 7:00-8:00 (Meet in the Dance Studio) This is a boys-only class, and will cover basic dance styles needed for musical theater, as well as flexibility and strength training. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 12th and will run through November 11th. Class will NOT meet October 14th and 21st due to fall break. Please make note on your calendar! Cost is $240; Taught by Jeff Van Paris
Saturdays
Tap I, ages 7 and up: 9:00 – 10:00 (Meets in the dance studio at the Biz.) This class is for want-to-be tappers of all ages that have never taken or have already had the basics, but need to continue working on basic technique.
Broadway Jazz, ages 7 and up, 10:00-11:00 (Dance Studio) Expand your abilities in Broadway style dance. Learn jazz technique and some of the original moves from numerous Broadway shows! This is a general musical theater dance class.
Tap II, ages 7 and up, 11:00-12:00 (Dance Studio) Please consult with Jeff for placement in this class, as it is for experienced tappers who want to be challenged! (Contact Jeff at Thebizacademy@gmail.com.)
