The first rehearsal and parent meeting will be on Friday, February 27 at 6:00 PM, followed by another rehearsal Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 AM. During tech week (the week before the show opens), there will be mandatory rehearsal EVERY evening from 5:30-9:30 PM (with final dress rehearsal on Thursday possibility going later). If this is too late for your child, considering these are school nights, please do not have them audition. We will get the full schedule out to you as soon as possible, normally within a week after casting. PLEASE submit all conflicts on the back of your AUDITION FORM (NOT the Attendance Policy). We will not be accepting any conflicts for the week of tech week or ANY shows, and please note, as always, your conflicts may affect casting decisions.
Preparation:
Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue that shows off your acting skills! We will also have you cold read some lines from the script. Complete these two forms (Audition Form & Attendance Policy) prior to arriving for your audition. It is preferred for the Audition Form to be filled out on a computer so that all fields are completed and legible. The form works best when opened and completed in Adobe Acrobat (not a web browser).
Arrive on the day of your audition at least 10 MINUTES early to sign-in at The Biz office and be sure to bring the following:
- YOUR COMPLETED AUDITION FORM & ATTENDANCE POLICY
- ALL MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY CONFLICTS (including holidays) FROM FEBRUARY 27 – APRIL 18 WRITTEN ON THE BACK OF THE AUDITION FORM. Please include any vacations! We require ALL cast members to be available for every night of tech rehearsals and ALL shows. (Conflicts added after casting may result in being asked to step down from the show.)
