Thank you for volunteering to help “behind the scenes” for Annie! We will use email to communicate with our volunteers as necessary. Ushers, Concession workers, and Bravo table workers will get to see the show they are working for free if they arrive 45 min. before show time.
COSTUME CO-CHAIRS – These two people will be working with Linz Doty, our costume manager, to find, gather, or make needed costumes for this show. (Sewing skills are NOT necessary!) You will be trying costumes on people and marking names on costumes and costume pieces. You would be required to be at some rehearsals before tech week and every tech rehearsal at the school, as well as take turns being backstage during shows for costume emergencies. This position fulfills the ten hour requirement for volunteer time as well as gives your child a waived Production fee. If you have already paid, I can give you a refund, or credit your account for a future show.
PROPS CHAIRPERSON – This person is in charge of finding, gathering, and/or making needed props and set decorations for this show. You will have helpers as well. You will need to be present at the beginning and end of each show to make sure props are in proper shape and place. (If they are NOT, you let ME know!) You or one of your helpers need to be present for each tech rehearsal and show for any prop emergencies. This position fulfills the ten hour requirement for volunteer time as well as gives your child a waived Production fee. If you have already paid, I can give you a refund, or credit your account for a future show.
COSTUMES/PROPS HELPERS – You will help the costume or props leads find and/or create costumes or props, and try costumes on cast members. Sewing skills are not required to help with costumes! (Hours depend on time spent.)

LOAD IN/LOAD OUT CREW – You will be responsible for helping move a selection of items (costumes, props, set pieces, etc.) from The Biz to Avon Middle School North, and at the end of the show’s run you will be responsible for moving those items from the performance venue back to The Biz as per directions from the Load In/Load Out Coordinator. We will also need a couple of trucks and trailers to transport set pieces and clothing racks. (6 hours or more if you stay to help set up.)

You may also need to purchase (and get reimbursed for) ice for all shows. (6 hours)
BRAVO TABLE COORDINATOR – You will help set up the Bravo Table before each performance, as well as take it down at the end of the show. You also need to be available to assist the Bravo table helper selling items if it gets busy. You will get to see each show you are working for free (not reserved seating). You’ll be responsible for finding some Bravo table items that we can sell. ALL EXPENDITURES MUST go through the producer (Jan) first. (6 hours)

Chairs will need to be placed around the outside of the lobby for people who need to sit down while waiting for the doors to open. You’ll be in charge of alerting patrons of the show starting, as well as helping patrons with ticket issues. (Bring them to the box office.). Finally, you will make sure the lobby is all put away before leaving. This will fulfill all ten hours of the volunteer requirement, and you will get to see each show for free. (Not reserved seating.)
